Abstract: Objective To investigate the current situation of disaster preparedness of medical personnel in Jiangxi Province and analyze the influencing factors,so as to provide theoretical basis for improving disaster preparedness of medical personnel. Methods A self-designed disaster preparedness questionnaire was used to investigate the current situation of disaster preparedness among 2 401 medical personnel from seven cities in Jiangxi Province using a random sampling method in February 2021,and the data were analyzed. Results The disaster preparedness score of 2 401 medical personnel in Jiangxi Province was (220.09±38.98)points, which was above the middle level. The results of univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in disaster preparedness ability scores and total scores among medical personnel with different marital status(all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the scores of disaster preparedness knowledge, skills, abilities, and total scores among medical personnel with different working years, types of work units, work departments, whether they have participated in disaster rescue events, whether they have participated in rescue related training, whether they have paid attention to disaster rescue related reports, whether their units have organized relevant training, and whether their families support participating in disaster rescue work(all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the scores of disaster preparedness skills, ability and total scores among medical personnel whether they are willing to participate in relevant training(all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the total scores of disaster preparedness among medical personnel whether they are willing to actively participate in medical rescue(all P<0.05). The multiple linear regression analysis showed that working years, working departments, whether they had participated in disaster rescue events, whether they had participated in disaster rescue related training, whether they paid attention to disaster rescue related reports, whether their units organized relevant training, whether they are willing to take the initiative to participate in training, and whether their families supported participating in disaster rescue work were all influential factors for medical personnel's disaster preparedness(all P<0.05). The medical personnel who have participated in disaster rescue related training, frequently follow disaster rescue related reports, are willing to actively participate in rescue, have family support to participate in disaster rescue work, and frequently organize relevant training in their units have higher disaster preparedness. The higher the length of service, the lower the disaster preparedness of medical personnel. Conclusion The disaster preparedness of medical personnel in Jiangxi Province needs to be improved, and hospital managers need to strengthen disaster rescue training for medical personnel.
