Analysis on current situation and influencing factors of nurses' work engagement in a county-level tertiary A hospital in Anhui Province

Abstract: Objective To explore the status quo and influencing factors of nurses' work engagement in a county-level tertiary A hospital in Fuyang City of Anhui Province. Methods From February to March 2022,a convenient sampling method was used to select 680 nurses for a survey on general information,nursing work environment,and work engagement. Results The average score of nurses' work engagement was (4.71±1.03)points,which was above the medium level. Multiple regression analysis showed that whether emergency department or ICU department,accreditation atmosphere,professional autonomy,and sufficient manpower were independent influencing factors for nurses' job engagement in county-level tertiary A hospital(all P<0.05),and could explain 43.2% of the changes in job engagement. Conclusions The work engagement of nurses in a county-level tertiary A hospital in Fuyang City of Anhui Province is at a moderate to upper level.Nursing managers should optimize the nursing work environment,actively create an atmosphere of recognition,and support the work autonomy of nurses in a targeted manner,so as to further improve the work engagement level of nurses in the county-level tertiary A hospitals.
