Abstract: Objective To establish a headspace gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) method for the determination of biological monitoring indicators in urine, such as acetone,1-bromopropane,dichloromethane,2,5-hexanedione,o-cresol and phenol. Methods The urine sample was sealed after adding anhydrous sodium sulfate, and was determined by GC-MS with headspace injection. Results The linearity of each component in urine determined by this method was good within each concentration range, the correlation coefficients were between 0.999 5 and 0.999 9,the detection limit was 0.4-20.0 μg/L,the sample recovery rate was 84.7%-115.6%,and the relative standard deviations were between 2.6% and 8.9%. Conclusion This method is simple, accurate, and highly sensitive, which is suitable for biological monitoring of occupational exposure to chemical harmful factors, and rapid detection of poisoning emergency samples.
