Study on influence path of career adaptability and perceived authentic leadership on occupational well-being of blood purification nurses in northeast Sichuan

Abstract: Objective To investigate the status of perceived authentic leadership,career adaptability and occupational well-being of blood purification nurses,analyze the influence path of career adaptability and perceived authentic leadership on occupational well-being. Methods A convenient sampling method was used to select 387 blood purification nurses from 16 general hospitals in northeast Sichuan from January to February 2022. The general information questionnaire,career adaptability scale,perceived authentic leadership scale and occupational well-being scale were applied in the investigation. The descriptive analysis,single factor analysis and correlation analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors. AMOS 24.0 was used to establish structural equation model. Results The scores of career adaptability,perceived authentic leadership and occupational well-being of blood purification nurses were (93.61±9.15),(55.75±6.83) and (75.29±22.64)points,respectively. The correlation analysis showed that career adaptability was positively correlated with occupational well-being and perceived authentic leadership,and the perceived authentic leadership was positively correlated with occupational well-being(all P<0.05). The perceived authentic leadership played a partial mediating role between career adaptability and occupational well-being of blood purification nurses,the mediating effect was 0.275,accounting for 33.7 % of the total benefit. Conclusion The level of occupational well-being of blood purification nurses in general hospitals in Northeast Sichuan is above the medium level,the career adaptability plays a partial mediating role between perceived authentic leadership and occupational well-being,so improving the perceived authentic leadership of blood purification nurses is conducive to further improving their career adaptability and occupational well-being.
