Correlation analysis between self-disclosure and psychological resilience of emergency and critical care nurses in three grade-A tertiary hospitals in Shaanxi Province

Abstract: Objective To understand the current situation and correlation of self-disclosure and psychological resilience among emergency and critical care nurses ingrade-A tertiary hospitals in Shaanxi Province. Methods The convenience sampling method was used to select emergency and critical care nurses from three grade-A tertiary hospitals in Shaanxi Province from June to December 2021 as the research objects. Results The total score of self-disclosure in emergency and critical care nurses was (40.07± 5.15)points,which was at a moderate level. The total score of psychological resilience was (61.93± 11.86)points,the score of tenacity dimension was (32.33± 6.31)points,the score of strength dimension was (19.68± 4.28)points,and the score of optimism dimension was (9.92± 2.30)points.The results of univariate analysis showed that the differences in self-disclosure scores among groups in different age,educational background,average monthly income and professional titles were statistically significant(all P< 0.05),and the differences in psychological resilience scores among groups in different educational background and working years were statistically significant(all P< 0.05).The correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between self-disclosure and psychological resilience(r=0.289,P< 0.01).The multivariate analysis showed that psychological resilience,age,educationand average monthly income were the main influencing factors of self-disclosure among emergency and critical care nurses(all P< 0.05). Conclusion The self-disclosure of emergency and critical care nurses is at a moderate level,and there is a correlation between self-disclosure and psychological resilience,that is,the higher the psychological resilience,the stronger the self-disclosure.
