Abstract: There is some relationship between fat negative body image and unhealthy weight control behaviors. The causes of the two are similar, which are related to both subjective and objective overweight,as well as social and cultural factors such as media. They are common among college students and cause serious harm to their physical and mental health. At present, psychological intervention, physical exercise and health education are the main intervention methods, and the body image course and comprehensive weight intervention plan have also been proved to be effective. This paper reviews the status quo, causes, harms and intervention progress of university students' fat negative body image and unhealthy weight control behaviors, and puts forward personal opinions on future research for further research and exploration.
