Abstract: Objective To investigate the current status of occupational well-being among staff in a governmental hospital in Beijing, and provide data and strategic support for governmental hospitals to accurately focus on specific employee groups. Methods A convenience sampling questionnaire survey was conducted among staff members of a governmental hospital in Beijing in March 2023 using the medical workers' well-being scale, and the screened results were compared between groups and analyzed by linear regression. Results A total of 3 973 questionnaires were collected, with an average overall well-being score of (97.17±17.42)points for hospital staff and (94.66±17.30)points for non-medical staff in hospital. There were statistically significant differences in overall well-being score among different working years, work area, educational background, professional title, personnel type, marital status, and employment forms(all P<0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in the overall well-being scores between medical and non-medical personnel(P<0.05).The well-being score of medical staff who contacted patients directly and indirectly were (97.85±17.51) and (95.02±16.66)points,respectively,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05). Ten factors such as age, years of work experience, work area, education background, personnel type, marital status, employment form, income, and whether they are medical personnel had a statistically significant impact on occupational well-being(all P<0.05). Conclusion In hospital management,we should pay attention to the well-being of staff who's older, with longer working years and higher professional titles, and pay attention to the staff with graduate degree or above, below college degree, working in non-main hospital area, divorce or other marital status, relatively low income,non-medical personnel, and non-direct-facing patient departments. Moderately adjust the management methods for corresponding personnel to enhance the overall occupational well-being of medical staff.
