Abstract: Objective To understand the current status and correlation of sub-health,depression,anxiety and stress symptoms with sleep quality of ICU medical staff in grade-A tertiary hospitals, and to explore the impact of sub-health,depression,anxiety and stress symptoms on sleep quality. Methods From April to May 2023,the convenience sampling method was used to select ICU medical staff from four grade-A tertiary hospitals in Mianyang City as the survey objects. The sub-health assessment scale, the depression and anxiety stress symptom scale, and Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI) scale were used to investigate 284 ICU medical staff, and the data were analyzed. Results The PSQI score of 284 ICU medical staff was (8.36±4.73)points,of which 61.97% had a PSQI score of ≥ 5 points,sub-health symptoms score of (82.89±26.28)points,and depression, anxiety, and stress score of (26.67±11.19)points.Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in sleep quality scores among ICU medical staff with different marital status, education level, job category,ICU length of service, night shift frequency, weekly overtime hours, exercise frequency, smoking, drinking and coffee drinking(all P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that the total score of PSQI and the scores of each dimension were positively correlated with the total score of sub-health symptoms and the scores of each dimension(r=0.227-0.685,all P<0.05),and positively correlated with the total score of depression, anxiety and stress and the scores of each dimension(r=0.256-0.793,all P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that marital status,ICU length of service, night shift frequency, exercise frequency, whether to drink coffee,sub-health symptoms, and depression, anxiety and stress were the main influencing factors of sleep quality of ICU medical staff(all P<0.05),explaining 66.9% of the total variables. Conclusion The sleep quality of ICU medical staff in grade-A tertiary hospitals is poor, and sub-health and depression, anxiety and stress are the main influencing factors. Hospital managers should pay attention to the health status of medical staff in special departments and reduce negative psychological emotions,so as to improve the sleep quality of medical staff and promote their physical and mental health.
