Abstract: Objective To investigate the current situation and correlation of pain fear, psychological resilience and work-related quality of life among medical staff with occupational low back pain in operating room of tertiary hospitals, explore the influence of pain fear and psychological resilience on work-related quality of life. Methods From October to December 2023,a convenience sampling method was used to select medical workers with occupational low back pain in the operating room of 10 tertiary hospitals in Sichuan Province as the survey objects. Totally 237 medical workers with occupational low back pain in the operating room were investigated by the pain fear scale, psychological resilience scale and work-related quality of life scale. Results The scores of pain fear, psychological resilience and work-related quality of life among 237 medical workers with occupational low back pain were (80.19±22.86),(70.92±20.26) and (86.68±19.14)points,respectively. The univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the score of work-related quality of life among operating room medical staff with occupational low back pain of different gender, education level, working years, bending frequency, participation in occupational protection training, acceptance of psychological adjustment training, perception of work pressure and job satisfaction(all P<0.05). The correlation analysis showed that the work-related quality of life score of medical staff with occupational low back pain in operating room was negatively correlated with the pain fear score(r=-0.206--0.670,all P<0.05),and positively correlated with psychological resilience score(r=0.241-0.697,all P<0.05). The multivariate analysis showed that working years, frequency of bending, participation in occupational protection training, perceived work pressure, job satisfaction, total score of pain fear and psychological resilience were the main influencing factors of work-related quality of life of medical staff with occupational low back pain in operating room(all P<0.05),which explained 80.9% of the total variables. Conclusions The work-related quality of life of medical staff with occupational low back pain in the operating room of tertiary hospitals is poor and affected by many factors. The pain fear and psychological resilience are important influencing factors. The managers should pay attention to the quality of life of medical staff affected by occupational diseases, reduce pain fear, and improve psychological resilience,so as to improve the work-related quality of life of medical staff.
