Research progress on assessment and intervention of loneliness among the elderly in nursing home

Abstract: The evaluation of loneliness among the elderly in nursing home can timely understand the psychological state of the elderly,which is conducive to formulating intervention programs. This paper reviews the loneliness of the elderly in nursing home at home and abroad,including the major content,application,and limitations of assessment tools and intervention programs. It aims to provide references for the evaluation of loneliness and the formulation of intervention programs for the elderly in the domestic elderly care institutions and to provide a basis for the optimization of psychological services in nursing homes.
