Determination of 24 elements in human urine by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry method

Abstract: Objective To develop a method for the simultaneous determination of 24 elements in human urine using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS). Methods The internal standard method was used to correct the errors,and the selection and stability of the internal standard elements were discussed. The optimized method effectively overcame the effects of matrix effects and signal drift. Results The 24 elements had good linear relationship in the concentration range of calibration curve,and the correlation coefficients(r) were all ≥0.999 5. The average recovery of 24 elements was 84.8%-108.0%,and the relative standard deviation of 6 parallel determinations was 1.34%-6.77%. The standard urine quality control substances L-1 and L-2 were determined and the results were within the standard value range. Conclusion The method is simple,sensitive and accurate,which provides a technical basis for the study of heavy metal monitoring in population.
