Research progress on assessment tools for sedentary behavior in preschool children

Abstract: Prolonged sedentary behavior in preschool children can increase the risk of obesity,cardiovascular diseases and other diseases,seriously affecting their physical and mental health. Therefore,it is particularly important to use appropriate sedentary behavior assessment tools for accurate identification and assessment. This article reviews the assessment tools for sedentary behavior in preschool children from the perspective of the concept of sedentary behavior,and compares and analyzes various assessment tools,in order to provide reference for the development of localized assessment tools for sedentary behavior in children and for the clinical identification and management of overweight and obesity related diseases in children.
