Abstract: With the increasing demand for public health, the issue of nurses' work-related fatigue has become increasingly prominent, becoming an important factor affecting patient safety and nurses' own health. To address this challenge, the fatigue risk management system(FRMS),which is a data-driven system, has been widely adopted to effectively manage the risks associated with workplace fatigue. The evolution of FRMS in the nursing field is an ongoing process of development and refinement. This paper presents a comprehensive review of FRMS,including its overview, fatigue monitoring methods, the progression of FRMS in the nursing domain, and insights gained from the construction and implementation of FRMS in foreign countries. The aim is to provide reference for the construction and implementation of a nurse FRMS in China,as well as for nursing management departments to formulate policies to reduce nurse fatigue, thereby enhancing the stability of the nursing workforce and improving overall nursing services and patient safety levels.
