Analysis of the current situation and influencing factors of self-transcendence among undergraduate nursing students

Abstract: Objective To investigate the current situation of self-transcendence among undergraduate nursing students and analyze its influencing factors. Methods From May to June 2024,249 undergraduate nursing students were selected using convenience sampling method from a medical university in Dalian City. General information questionnaire,spirituality scale and core self-evaluation scale were used to investigate,and the data were analyzed. Results The self-transcendence score of 249 undergraduate nursing students was (45.88±7.70)points. Self-evaluation of academic performance,spirituality,and core self-evaluation were the main influencing factors for undergraduate nursing students' self-transcendence(all P<0.05),accounting for 49.0% of the total variation. Conclusion The self-transcendence level of undergraduate nursing students from a certain university in Dali is in the moderate level,which is influenced by academic performance,spirituality and core self-evaluation. Nursing educators should take appropriate intervention measures based on the influencing factors to enhance the self-transcendence level of undergraduate nursing students.
