Research progress on the current situation and influencing factors of nurses' professional well-being

Abstract: The World Health Organisation estimates that there will be a projected global shortage of 4.5 million nursing workers by 2030. How to improve nurses' occupational well-being,reduce turnover rate and stabilize the nursing workforce has become the focus of research for hospitals and nursing managers. The research on occupational well-being in China started late,and the research groups are mainly teachers and college students,with less attention to the special occupational group of nurses. This paper provides a review of the concept,assessment tools,influencing factors and interventions of nurses' occupational well-being,in order to provide reference for nursing managers to enhance nurses' occupational well-being and promote the development of nursing career.
