Research progress on aging anxiety among middle-aged and older adults

Abstract: As their body functions age,middle-aged and elderly people may face problems such as the decline of body organ functions and chronic diseases,and at the same time,they are also prone to anxiety problems.Aging anxiety is an important obstacle for middle-aged and elderly people to adapt to aging and healthy aging. This article reviews the relevant theories,current status,assessment tools,influencing factors and intervention measures of aging anxiety in middle-aged and elderly people,in order to provide theoretical basis for reducing aging anxiety in middle-aged and elderly people and optimizing psychological services.
