Abstract: Objective To conduct a bibliometric and visual analysis on the research status, hotspots, and progress of mindfulness therapy in alleviating nurse burnout,in order to provide more accurate guidance and suggestions for the research and application of mindfulness therapy in nurse burnout. Methods Using CiteSpace tool to conduct multidimensional visualization analysis of academic literature from 2014 to 2024 in China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Data, and Web of Science databases, including publication volume, authors, institutions, keyword networks, and time trends. Results This study included 628 articles, the trend of annual publication volume of literature showed an increase from 2014 to 2021,and a decrease from 2022 to 2024. China and the United States are the main contributors to publications, accounting for 54.31% in total. Shanxi Medical University and Ohio University were the institutions with the highest number of publications. LIN Lin and GARCÍA-CAMPAYO J each published 5 articles and collaborated closely with multiple authors, making them the main contributors to both Chinese and English literature in this field. In Chinese literature, except for title keywords,"occupational stress" and "psychological resilience" had the highest frequency, while in English literature,"health" and "stress" had the highest frequency, with 63 and 61 times respectively. The impact of mindfulness therapy on nurses' self-care,job competence, group psychological training, and professional resilience would become a research trend in China in the future, while foreign research focused more on nurses' psychological well-being. Conclusion The Mindfulness therapy has achieved certain research results in reducing nurse burnout, but the research growth rate has slowed down and there are challenges in its application. Suggest strengthening author collaboration among national institutions and building a collaborative network. Future research will focus on improving mindfulness interventions tailored to the characteristics of different nurse populations.
