Abstract: Objective To investigate the status of work-family boundary penetration,work-family conflict and occupational burnout of oncology nurses in tertiary hospitals of Nanjing City, study the impact of work-family boundary penetration and work-family conflict on occupational burnout, and provide reference for reducing nurses' job burnout. Methods A simple random sampling method was used to select 204 nurses from the oncology departments of six tertiary hospitals in Nanjing City from July to August 2024 as survey subjects. The work-family boundary penetration scale,work-family conflict scale and occupational burnout scale were used to investigate and analyze them. Results The scores of work-family boundary penetration,work-family conflict and occupational burnout of oncology nurses were (50.67±8.58),(59.62±10.42) and (60.15±10.68)points,respectively. The results of univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the scores of work-family boundary penetration among oncology nurses of different age, professional title, years of work experience, marital status, monthly night shifts and monthly income(all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the scores of work-family conflict among oncology nurses of different age, professional title, years of work experience, marital status, monthly night shifts and monthly income(all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the scores of occupational burnout among oncology nurses of different age, professional title, years of work experience, marital status, monthly night shifts and monthly income(all P<0.05). The score of work-family boundary penetration in oncology nurses was positively correlated with the score of occupational burnout(r=0.614,P<0.01),the score of work-family conflict was positively correlated with the score of occupational burnout(r=0.584,P<0.01),and the score of work-family boundary penetration was positively correlated with the score of work-family conflict(r=0.549,P<0.01). The work-family boundary penetration and work-family conflict can jointly explain 36.70% of the variation in occupational burnout among oncology nurses. Conclusion The work-family boundary penetration and work-family conflict among oncology nurses in tertiary hospitals of Nanjing City has a significant impact on occupational burnout, and reducing the level of work-family boundary penetration and work-family conflict can help reduce the level of occupational burnout among oncology nurses.
