Construction of competency evaluation index system for infection control link nurses based on iceberg model

Abstract: Objective To construct a competency evaluation index system for infection control link nurses based on the iceberg model. Methods From October to December 2023,based on literature research and semi-structured interviews,a preliminary competency evaluation index system was built,and the Delphi method was then used to conduct two rounds of expert consultations with 23 experts,to determine the content and weight of indicators. Results The recovery rates for the two rounds of expert consultations were 95.2% and 100.0%,respectively. The expert authority coefficients were 0.860 and 0.890 respectively,and the second round of correspondence Kendall coordination coefficients were 0.460,0.206 and 0.178,respectively. The final competency evaluation index system for infection control link nurses included 4 primary indicators,23 secondary indicators,and 76 tertiary indicators. Conclusion The evaluation index system integrates the latest core competency standards for infection control personnel domestically and internationally,and includes specific indicators such as the "three management" system and ability to prevent and control surgical site infections,and it is comprehensive,expert opinions are concentrated,and the results are scientifically reliable,with certain clinical practicality.
