Abstract: Objective To investigate the current status of emotional labor among ICU nurses, explore the relationships between nursing care behaviors, resilience level and emotional labor, and provide basis for managers to develop relevant intervention measures. Methods In February 2024,a total of 394 ICU nurses from 10 hospitals in Fujian Province were selected by the convenience sampling method. The emotional labor scale, nursing care behavior scale, medical and nursing staff resilience scale were used to investigate them, and the data were analyzed. Results The score of emotional labor, nursing care behaviors and resilience among ICU nurses was (64.53±8.67),(75.88±9.91) and (126.50±14.58)points,respectively. The position, humanistic training, number of children, certified nurse specialist, nursing care behaviors, and resilience were all factors that influenced ICU nurses' emotional labor(all P<0.05). The nursing care behaviors played a certain mediating role between emotional labor and resilience. Conclusion The emotional labor level of ICU nurses is at a moderate to high level, and managing ICU nurses' emotional labor can be achieved by enhancing their humanistic care ability and resilience level.
