Abstract:

Objective To investigate the current status of occupational happiness among young and middle-aged doctors in grade-A tertiary hospitals in Heilongjiang Province, and provide reference for improving the level of occupational happiness among young and middle-aged doctors. Methods From March to May 2024,a convenience sampling method was used to select 320 middle-aged and young doctors from grade-A tertiary hospitals in Heilongjiang Province as the research subjects. A general information questionnaire and a medical worker occupational happiness scale were used for the questionnaire survey, and the data were analyzed. Results The occupational happiness score of young and middle-aged doctors in three grade-A tertiary hospitals in Heilongjiang Province was (59.40±8.20)points,with an average score of (2.48±0.34)points for each item. The results of independent sample t-test and analysis of variance showed that there were statistically significant differences in the scores of occupational happiness among middle-aged and young doctors of different ages, number of children, years of employment, professional title, night shift situation, and monthly income(all P<0.05). The number of children(B=-2.798,P<0.01,VIF=1.147),years of employment(B=1.531,P<0.05,VIF=3.713),professional title(B=1.137,P<0.05,VIF=2.606),and monthly income(B=1.713,P<0.05,VIF=2.029) were the influencing factors of their level of occupational happiness. Conclusion The occupational happiness level of young and middle-aged doctors in grade-A tertiary hospitals in Heilongjiang Province is relatively low. Hospital managers should develop plans and strategies to improve their occupational happiness level based on the specific situation of young and middle-aged doctors.
