Current status and correlation analysis of psychological resilience,self-efficacy and practice environment of gastroenterology nurses

Abstract: Objective To investigate the psychological resilience,self-efficacy and practice environment of gastroenterology nurses and analyze their correlations. Methods From December 2022 to January 2024,197 nurses in the gastroenterology department from 5 grade-A tertiary general hospitals in Xi'an were selected as the research objects.General information questionnaire,psychological resilience, general self-efficacy scale(GSES) and practice environment scale(PES) were used to investigate,and the data were analyzed. Results The total score of psychological resilience,PES and GSES for gastroenterology nurses were (56.39±19.75),(83.91±16.87) and (24.99±9.94)points,respectively.There were statistically significant differences in the self-ability of nurses of different ages,years of work experience,professional titles,employment methods,and monthly incomes(all P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between the psychological resilience and self-efficacy scale of gastroenterology nurses and the practice environment scale(all P<0.05). Psychological resilience and self-efficacy as mediating variables,both of which had an indirect impact on the practice environment. Conclusion There is a correlation between the psychological resilience,self-efficacy,and practice environment of gastroenterology nurses. Improving the practice environment of gastroenterology nurses in five grade-A tertiary comprehensive hospitals in Xi'an can enhance their self-efficacy and promote their psychological resilience.
