Research progress of mental health literacy of college students

Abstract: Mental health literacy includes a variety of knowledge,perspectives and skills related to mental health,including knowledge of mental health and mental disorders,as well as attitudes and skills related to the prevention of mental health problems,self-help behavior,self-care and seeking help. In higher education institutions,the mental health awareness of college students is regarded as one of the key qualities they need,which plays a vital role in their personal growth and progress. By enhancing education and services on mental health,college students can improve their mental health level,so as to face various challenges and pressures in life more effectively. However,there are few reviews and analysis on college students' mental health literacy. This paper focuses on the relevant definition of mental health literacy,evaluation tools,research status of mental health literacy of college students,influencing factors,intervention strategies and other aspects,in order to provide ideas for Chinese educators to improve the mental health literacy of college students.
