Abstract:

With the comprehensive implementation of the Healthy China Strategy, the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment model has gained increasing popularity, and Chinese-Western medicine hospitals are playing an increasingly vital role in the healthcare system. The medical staff in these institutions face more complex and diverse occupational exposure risks while integrating distinctive TCM techniques(such as acupuncture and cupping) with Western invasive procedures. These risks not only pose serious threats to their physical and mental health but also present numerous challenges to healthcare quality and patient safety. This paper systematically reviews domestic and international research progress on occupational exposure risks among healthcare workers, elucidates the current situation in Chinese-Western medicine hospitals, analyzes key influencing factors, proposes targeted protective and intervention measures, and explores future research directions related to occupational exposure risks. The study aims to provide theoretical foundations for developing scientific protection strategies and improving occupational exposure prevention and control systems to safeguard healthcare professionals' occupational health and safety.
