Abstract:

Objective To investigate the status of off-work recovery experience,work-family conflict and occupational burnout of operating room nurses in 7 grade-A tertiary general hospitals in Beijing and analyze the correlation among the three,so as to provide objective evidence for clinical improvement of the occupational burnout level of operating room nurses. Methods A convenient sampling method was used to investigate 187 operating room nurses in 7 grade-A tertiary general hospitals in Beijing from March to April 2025 using the basic information scale,off-work recovery experience scale,work-family conflict scale and occupational burnout scale, and the data were analyzed. Results The scores of off-work recovery experience,work-family conflict and occupational burnout of 187 operating room nurses were (52.36±8.47),(62.39±13.76) and (61.28±12.84)points,respectively. Age,total clinical nursing work hours, professional and technical level, marital status, average monthly total salary, number of children and monthly night shift frequency were the influencing factors of off-work recovery experience of operating room nurses(allP<0.05). Age,total clinical nursing work hours, professional and technical level, average monthly total salary and monthly night shift frequency were the influencing factors of work-family conflict and occupational burnout of operating room nurses(allP<0.05). The off-work recovery experience of operating room nurses was negatively correlated with occupational burnout and work-family conflict(r=-0.615,-0.592,bothP<0.01),and work-family conflict was positively correlated with occupational burnout(r=0.584,P<0.01). Work-family conflict played a partial mediating role between off-work recovery experience and occupational burnout of operating room nurses, with an effect value of -0.296,accounting for 46.56% of the total effect. Conclusion The off-work recovery experience,work-family conflict and occupational burnout of operating room nurses are closely related, and work-family conflict plays a partial mediating role between off-work recovery experience and occupational burnout. Hospital nursing managers should take targeted intervention measures to reduce work-family conflicts among operating room nurses, thereby improving their off-work recovery experience and reducing the level of occupational burnout.
