Abstract:

Objective To understand the equity of human resource allocation and its impact pathways in community health service centres in 31 provinces and cities in China, and provide a scientific basis for the rational allocation of basic medical and health resources. Methods By calculating the health resource density index(HRDI),the equity of human resource allocation in China's community health centres in 2021 was determined, and the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA) method was used to analyze the specific pathways that affected the equity of their human resource allocation. Results The equity of human resource allocation in community health centers in the eastern region of China in 2021 was higher than that in the central, northeastern, and western regions. The study yielded two paths promoting high equity, with high population density and high per capita health care expenditure as core conditions, with an overall consistency of 0.999 and an overall coverage of 0.635;And four paths leading to low equity, with low population density and low per capita disposable income as the core condition, with an overall consistency of 0.999 and an overall coverage of 0.695. Conclusion There are obvious geographical differences in human resource allocation in community health service centers in China, and a variety of factors work together to promote equity in the allocation of health human resources in community health service centers. Regional population density is the core element that determines the equity of human resource allocation in community health service centers.
