Abstract:

Objective To investigate the leader subordinate matching, psychological capital, and occupational burnout status of nurses in the disinfection supply room, and to explore the mediating role of psychological capital between leader subordinate matching and occupational burnout,in order to provide reference for reducing nurses' job burnout. Methods Convenience sampling was used to select 186 nurses from the disinfection supply rooms(supply centers) of 7 comprehensive hospitals in Wuwei City from January to February 2025 as survey subjects, general situation survey, leader subordinate matching survey, psychological capital survey, and occupational burnout survey were conducted, and the data were analyzed. Results The scores for leader subordinate matching, psychological capital, and occupational burnout among nurses in the disinfection supply room were (19.25±4.72),(89.23±16.28),and (60.34±11.56)points,respectively. The comparison of occupational burnout scores among disinfection supply room nurses of different ages, technical title, work experience, and monthly income showed statistically significant differences(all P<0.05). The leader subordinate matching and psychological capital of disinfection supply room nurses were negatively correlated with occupational burnout(r=-0.498,-0.614,both P<0.01).The leader subordinate matching was positively correlated with psychological capital (r=0.582,P<0.01).Leader subordinate matching and psychological capital could jointly explain 37.7% of the variation in occupational burnout among nurses in the disinfection supply room. Psychological capital partially mediated the relationship between leader subordinate matching and occupational burnout, with an effect value of -0.266,and the indirect effect accounts for 44.78% of the total effect. Conclusion The occupational burnout of nurses in the disinfection supply room of seven comprehensive hospitals in Wuwei City is at a high level, and leader subordinate matching can directly predict occupational burnout, with psychological capital playing a mediating role between the two. Nursing managers can help disinfection supply room nurses improve their psychological capital and leadership subordinate matching level through intervention measures, thereby reducing their level of occupational burnout.
