Abstract:

With the rapid development of information technology and the advent of the era of mutual media, the boundary between work and life is increasingly blurred.Work connectivity behavior after hours, that is,dealing with work affairs through electronic devices after work or during rest, has become a common phenomenon in modern workplaces. Focusing on nurses as a special occupational group, this connectivity behavior can not only enhance work flexibility and emergency response efficiency, strengthen nurses' sense of professional efficacy and responsibility, but also become a core stressor that erodes nurses' physical and mental health, induces burnout, exacerbates work-family conflicts, triggers emotional exhaustion and various types of health problems, which threatens the well-being of the individual, the harmony of the family, and the stability of the quality of nursing care, showing an obvious double-edged sword effect. Therefore,it is particularly important to conduct in-depth research on work connectivity behavior after hours. This paper reviews the concept, theory, measurement tools, influencing factors, outcome variables and intervention strategies of work connectivity behavior after hours, aiming to draw the attention of managers and to provide references for the study of work connectivity behavior after hours among nurses. Through scientific management and effective intervention,it is expected to alleviate nurses' occupational stress and promote work-life integration, which is of great significance in safeguarding nurses' physical and mental health and optimizing the allocation of nursing resources.
