During interventional surgeries, cardiovascular imaging techniques are indispensable. Besides the surgical patients, the medical staff in the operating room are also exposed to a large amount of radiation. This article reviews the overview of diagnostic and interventional imaging operations in interventional surgeries, the current situation of radiation exposure during interventional procedures, radiation protection measures, and future research prospects,in order to reduce the radiation exposure risks for both the medical staff in the operating room and the patients, and provide references for radiation protection and safety management during interventional surgeries.
