Abstract: Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of workplace violence coping resources in medical students, provide a theoretical basis for the formulation of corresponding intervention programs. Methods From January to February 2022,a ross-sectional survey was conducted among 221 medical students in a university in Guangdong Province by using questionnaire survey, including the general information questionnaire, the workplace violence coping resource scale and the Chinese version of the 10-item psychological resilience scale, and the data were analyzed. Results The total scores of the workplace violence coping resource scale and psychological resilience scale in medical students were (79.52±15.74) and (25.23±6.18)points,respectively. There were statistically significant differences in the scores of the workplace violence coping resource among medical students of different gender and father's educational background(all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the scores of the psychological resilience among medical students of different gender and grade(all P<0.05). The level of psychological resilience of medical students was positively correlated with the workplace violence coping resources(r=0.651,P<0.01). The multiple regression analysis showed gender, father's educational background and psychological resilience were the effective predictors of workplace violence coping resources(adjusted R2=0.458,F=62.92,P<0.05). Conclusion The workplace violence coping resources of medical students are at middle and upper level, and the medical educators could strengthen medical students' workplace violence coping resources by improving their psychological resilience.
