Correlative analysis of negative tendency of self-ability,psychological capital and job burnout of nurses in cardiology department

Abstract: Objective To explore the correlation between the negative tendency of self-ability,psychological capital and job burnout of nurses in cardiology department. Methods From November to December 2022,187 nurses in the department of cardiology in four grade-A tertiary hospitals in Xi'an City were selected by simple random sampling method,and investigated with the general situation scale,self-ability negative tendency scale,psychological capital scale and job burnout scale. And the data were analyzed. Results The score of negative tendency of self-ability of nurses in cardiology department was (36.86±8.72)points,the score of psychological capital was (82.35±12.61)points,and the score of job burnout was (62.16±11.28)points. There were statistically significant differences in the score of negative tendency of self-ability among cardiology nurses of different age,working years,professional title,marital status,and monthly income(all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the score of psychological capital among cardiology nurses of different age,working years,professional title,marital status,and monthly income(all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the score of job burnout among cardiology nurses of different age,working years,professional title,monthly income,and night shift(all P<0.05). The negative tendency of self-ability of nurses in cardiology department was positively correlated with job burnout(r=0.593,P<0.01),while negatively correlated with psychological capital (r=-0.602,P<0.01),and the psychological capital was negatively correlated with job burnout(r=-0.538,P<0.01). The psychological capital had a mediating effect between the negative tendency of self-ability and job burnout of cardiology nurses,the mediating effect was 0.225,and the mediating effect accounted for 41.06% of the total effect. Conclusion There is a close relationship between the negative tendency of self-ability and job burnout of nurses in cardiology department,and the psychological capital plays a part of intermediary role between the negative tendency of self-ability and job burnout.
