Abstract: The hospital needs to provide 24-hour continuous care for patients,so shift work including night shift is inevitable. Sleep problems caused by shift work are one of the major occupational hazards for nurses. This paper reviews the sleep assessment methods of shift nurses at home and abroad, summarizes the impact of sleep problems on cognitive function, health status and work performance, and puts forward intervention strategies from three levels of individuals, managers and organizations,in order to provide reference for shift nurses' sleep improvement, occupational health promotion and intervention implementation.
