Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between work-family positive spillover, depression and career commitment among medical staff, explore the mediating role of career commitment between them. Methods From January to March in 2022,408 medical workers were recruited to participate the survey by using the simplified Chinese version of center for epidemiologic studies depression scale(CES-D),work-family positive spillover scale and career commitment scale through an online platform, and the data were analyzed. Results The depression score[MP25,P75)] of medical workers was 5(3,9)points,96(23.5%) had risk of depression. In work-family positive spillover, the scores of positive spillovers from work to family dimension and from family to work dimension were (3.25±0.90) and (3.77±0.85)points,respectively. The career commitment score was (25.54±5.71)points. The correlation analysis showed that the career commitment and work-family positive spillover of medical staff were negatively correlated with depression(r=-0.526,-0.358,both P<0.01),work-family positive spillover was positively correlated with career commitment(r=0.474,P<0.01). The mediation effect analysis indicated that the career commitment played amediating role between work-family positive spillover and depression, and the mediating effect was -0.218(P<0.01),accounting for 60.9% of the total effect. Conclusions The work-family positive spillover is an important influencing factor of medical staff's depression, and career commitment plays a part of mediating role between them.
