Abstract: Objective To observe the overall prevalence and related influencing factors of childhood emotional abuse among college students in Chinese mainland from January 2011 to December 2021. Methods With setting retrieval time from January 2011 to December 2021,the Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Version 3.3 software was used to finish the meta analysis on 50 selected Chinese and foreign research pieces of literature from China national knowledge infrastructure(CNKI) and Web of Sciences. Results In the past 10 years, the overall prevalence of childhood emotional abuse among college students in Chinese mainland was 23.6%(95%CI:0.171-0.317,P<0.05). The further research results indicated that the prevalence of childhood emotional abuse among college students was affected by economic region factors(QB=14.869,P<0.05),and it ranked from high to low as follows:the western, northeast, eastern, and central regions. The year of publication negatively predicted the prevalence(B=-0.134,95%CI: -0.262--0.007,P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences among measuring tools and gender factors(QB=6.254, 0.629,both P>0.05). Conclusion The prevalence of childhood emotional abuse among college students in Chinese mainland is high, and it is necessary to pay more attention to the prevention and intervention of emotional abuse in childhood to actively promote the healthy development of children.
