Abstract: Objective To understand the correlation between nursing students' psychological capital, coping styles and professional identity in the post-epidemic era, provide a reference basis for enhancing nursing students' professional identity and promoting the development of nursing education. Methods From June to July 2022,235 undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students in Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Zhengzhou University were surveyed using the impact of event scale revised(IES-R),the simplified coping style questionnaire(SCSQ),the positive psychological capital questionnaire(PPQ) and the professional identity scale(PIS),and the data were analyzed. Results The mean score of professional identity of nursing students was (109.98±17.41)points,and it was negatively correlated with the impact of the event(r=-0.1.62,P<0.05),positively correlated with positive psychological capital and coping style(r=0.546,0.500,both P<0.01). The results of multiple linear regression showed that positive psychological capital and coping style were factors influencing nursing students' professional identity in the post-epidemic era(both P<0.01). Conclusion The nursing students' professional identity in the post-epidemic era is at a moderate level, and positive psychological capital and coping styles are positively correlated with their professional identity,so the nursing educators can enhance their professional identity by improving the level of positive psychological capital and coping styles, and providing timely psychological guidance and support strategies, and then strengthen the nursing workforce.
