Abstract:

Objective To understand the health status and influencing factors of medical radiation workers in Yulin City, and provide reference for occupational health management of radiation workers in Yulin City. Methods Based on the examination data of 795 individuals engaged in radiation diagnosis and treatment who underwent occupational health examinations at a physical examination center in Yulin City in 2023,combined with personal dose monitoring, and the data were analyzed. Results Among the 795 subjects, the indicators with high abnormal detection rates included electrocardiogram(41.0%),liver ultrasound(37.5%),ophthalmology(32.2%),uric acid(24.2%),blood pressure(24.0%),and renal ultrasound(19.9%). The abnormal detection rates of ophthalmology, blood pressure, liver function, kidney function, and uric acid in males were significantly higher than those in females(all P<0.01). The abnormal blood pressure rate in the older age group was significantly higher than that in the younger age group(P<0.01),and the abnormal rates of ophthalmology and blood pressure in the high seniority group were significantly higher than those in the low seniority group(both P<0.01). In addition, ophthalmology, blood pressure, uric acid, etc. were significantly higher among physicians than in other positions(all P<0.01). The detection rate of liver ultrasound in diagnostic radiology was significantly higher than other types(P<0.05). Conclusion The indicators with a high abnormal rate of occupational health examinations among medical radiation workers in Yulin City are closely related to factors such as length of service, gender, job category, and radiation dose. It is recommended to implement differentiated protective measures for workers of different genders and lengths of service, while strengthening safety training for radiation workers and reducing unnecessary radiation exposure.
