Abstract:

Objective To analyze the epidemic characteristics and temporal and spatial aggregation of other infectious diarrhea diseases in Wenshan Prefecture from 2014 to 2023,and provide scientific basis for the formulation of prevention and control measures. Methods Descriptive epidemiological methods,Joinpoint and SaTScan software were used to analyze the data. Results A total of 22 637 cases of other infectious diarrhea diseases were reported in Wenshan Prefecture from 2014 to 2023,with an average annual incidence of 63.18/100 000,and the incidence was concentrated from November to February and May to June of the following year. The male to female ratio was 1.39∶1,the highest incidence was in the 0-4 years old group(733.36/100 000),and the occupations were mainly scattered children(80.72%). Cases were reported in all counties(cities),with the highest incidence in Qiubei County(163.32/100 000). The average annual percent change(APCC) in Guangnan County was 20%.The time of spatial and temporal aggregation was from January to June,Qiubei County and Yanshan County were Ⅰ type aggregation areas. A total of 3 317 etiological cases were identified, and rotavirus infection accounted for 91.05%. Conclusion From 2014 to 2023,the reported incidence of other infectious diarrheal diseases in Wenshan Prefecture showed a slow upward trend, and the overall incidence showed a bimodal distribution, with the main peak in winter. Scattered children were the focus groups for prevention and control. The incidence showed significant spatiotemporal clustering, with the gathering areas concentrated in Qiubei County,Yanshan County, and Wenshan City in the northwest of Wenshan Prefecture. It is necessary to formulate precise prevention and control strategies and issue real-time warnings for key populations, regions and time periods to prevent the occurrence and spread of clusters of epidemics.
