Abstract: Objective To explore the current status and influencing factors of turnover intention among urological surgical nurses in six tertiary hospitals in Sichuan Province. Methods A convenience sampling method was employed to select 231 urological surgical nurses from six tertiary hospitals in Sichuan Province from April to May 2024 as research subjects. The investigation was conducted using a general information questionnaire, the job embeddedness scale, the nursing vocational commitment scale, and the turnover intention scale, and the data were analyzed. Results The total score for job embeddedness among urological surgical nurses was (22.86±2.57)points,the total score for vocational commitment was (70.69±1.69)points,and the score for turnover intention was (17.19±3.62)points. There was a positive correlation between vocational commitment and job embeddedness(r=0.558,P<0.01),and a negative correlation with turnover intention(r=-0.452,P<0.01). There was a negative correlation between job embeddedness and turnover intention(r=-0.564,P<0.01). Multifactor analysis indicated that age, education level, professional title, job embeddedness, and vocational commitment were all factors influencing turnover intention among urological surgical nurses(all P<0.01). Conclusion The turnover intention of urological surgical nursing staff in tertiary hospitals in Sichuan Province is at a moderate-to-high level, while vocational commitment and job embeddedness are at a moderate level. Enhancing job embeddedness and vocational commitment among urological surgical nurses can help reduce turnover intention.
