Abstract: The cypermethrin(CYP) is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide. Because CYP is widely used in agricultural and sanitary pests control, its potential toxicity to humans has attracted increasing attention. The research shows that the nervous system is its main target organ, and cypermethrin can exert its neurotoxic effect by affecting neurotransmitters, ion channels, lipid peroxidation and so on. This paper summarizes the research progress on neurotoxicity of cypermethrin to mammals and its mechanism,so as to provide reference for the safe production and use of cypermethrin.

Key words: Cypermethrin, Neurotoxicity, Toxicity mechanism
