Advances in research on workplace incivility suffered by clinical nurses

Abstract: :The workplace incivility(WI),although it is a kind of interpersonal deviation behavior with vague intention of harm and relatively mild degree,violates the basic norms of mutual respect in the workplace,and has a high incidence rate. It can evolve into workplace bullying and workplace violence,which seriously threatens the physical and mental health and occupational health of nurses. WI can lead to anxiety,burnout,reduced job satisfaction,decreased performance,increased turnover intention and a series of adverse outcomes.Therefore,it is important to pay attention to and explore WI in the nursing field for the stable development of nursing team. The paper expounds the concept and characteristics of WI,assessment tools,status quo and adverse outcomes of clinical nurses suffering from WI,aiming to provide reference for nursing managers to seek effective intervention measures for WI.
