Analysis on current status and influencing factors of psychological reactions of clinical nurses in Anhui Province

Abstract: Objective To understand the current situation of psychological reactions among clinical nurses and analyze its influencing factors. Methods From May to September 2022,a convenience sampling method was used to select clinical nurses from six grade-A tertiary comprehensive hospitals in five cities in Anhui Province as the survey subjects. The general information questionnaire,psychological questionnaires for emergent events of public health,nurse emergency capability scale for emergent events of public health,chinese version of meaning in life questionnaire and the Chinese version of gratitude questionnaire-6 were used to conduct the questionnaire survey,and the data were analyzed. Results A total of 1 262 clinical nurses were included,with a psychological reactions score of (13.97±8.89)points. Emergency capability,sense of meaning in life,age,night shift status,whether to raise children and whether they had experienced psychological discomfort were the main influencing factors of the psychological reactions of clinical nurses in the post-epidemic era(all P<0.05),which could explain 25.30% of the total variation. Conclusion The psychological reactions of clinical nurses are at a mild level,and managers should actively take strategies to improve the emergency capability of clinical nurses,enhance the sense of meaning in life of nurses,and continuously focus on guiding and cultivating these two qualities. At the same time,special attention should be paid to the group of nurses who are young and middle-aged nurses,work more night shifts,raise children and self-reported psychological discomfort,so as to provide them with effective,long-term and diversified psychological support system to better improve their psychological coping and health levels.
