Abstract: Objective To reveal the phenomenon and causes of bullying experienced by standardized training nurses in the workplace in Sichuan Province, and to provide reference for effective prevention and intervention of workplace bullying behavior. Method A convenience sampling method was used to select 648 standardized nurses from eight grade-A tertiary hospitals in Sichuan Province. A Chinese version of the negative behavior questionnaire was used for the survey, and the data were analyzed. Results The total score of workplace bullying among standardized training nurses in Sichuan Province was (28.1±8.99)points. Totally 267 people(41.2%) had experienced workplace bullying in the past 6 months,of which 3 people(0.5%) had experienced severe bullying. Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in workplace bullying among standardized training nurses of different ages, educational backgrounds, average weekly working hours, passion for nursing work, colleague relationships, average monthly income, and work experience before formal employment(all P<0.05). Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that average weekly working hours, passion for nursing work, and harmonious relationships with colleagues were the main influencing factors for standardized training nurses to feel workplace bullying(all P<0.05). Conclusion The perception rate of workplace bullying among standardized training nurses in Sichuan Province is relatively high, which should be closely monitored by nursing managers and educators. Practical and feasible preventive measures should be taken, and targeted educational activities should be carried out to reduce the incidence of workplace bullying incidents.
