Abstract: Objective To analyze the status quo of occupational hazards in a natural gas separation plant in Liaoning Province, put forward the key control points of occupational hazards and the improvement methods of occupational prevention measures to meet the occupational health requirements. Methods From 2021 to 2023,the occupational health survey of a natural gas separation plant in Liaoning Province was carried out for three consecutive years, and the occupational hazard factors and occupational-disease-prevention facilities in the workplace were analyzed and evaluated. Results From 2021 to 2023,the occupational hazards in the normal production of a natural gas separation plant in Liaoning Province include mixed organic matter(methane, propane, pentane, hexane, heptane, octane, nonane, benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene),liquefied petroleum gas, methanol, ethylene glycol, carbon monoxide, noise and microwave radiation. The detection showed that the qualified rate of chemical harmful substances was 100.00%,and the daily dose of microwave radiation was 255.0-342.3 μW·h/cm2,with the qualified rate of 100.00%. The individual noise measurement value of each position was 66.4-81.7 dB(A),with the qualified rate of 100.00%,but there were noisy jobs. Conclusion The concentration of chemical harmful substances in a natural gas separation plant in Liaoning Province meets the relevant national health standards, and the current status of occupational hazards is good, but there are still high-noise equipment in the production area and places that need to control occupational hazards, and corresponding protective measures should be taken against these occupational hazards.
