Abstract: Objective To understand the dietary quality of school-aged children in Suzhou City and analyze the influencing factors,so as to provide reference for improving the dietary quality of school-aged children. Methods Based on the residents food consumption and health survey database in Suzhou from 2018 to 2020,school-age children aged 6 to 17 with complete dietary data were selected as the survey subjects. The dietary guideline index(2021) was used to evaluate dietary quality, and multiple linear regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of dietary quality. Results A total of 506 school-age children were included, with a sex ratio of 1.32∶1,an age MP25,P75) of 14.00(12.00,16.00)years,and a dietary guideline index(2021) score[MP25,P75)] of 74.63(66.73,83.56)points,the diet index scores for vegetables, fruits, other grains and beans, snacks, livestock and poultry meat, nuts, and aquatic products were relatively low. Age(11-<14 years old,β=3.821,t=3.209),father's education level(high school and college,β=4.184,t=2.923;bachelor's degree or above,β=5.609,t=3.092),non-smoking parents,(β=3.235,t=3.060) and screen time(<2 h/d,β=3.115,t=2.978) were all the influential factors of dietary index score of school-age children aged 6-<18 in Suzhou City(P<0.01). Conclusion The dietary guidelines index(2021) score for school-age children in Suzhou City[MP25,P75)] is relatively high, but the dietary structure was not reasonable enough. The dietary quality of school-aged children in Suzhou may be affected by age, father's education level, parents' smoking and screen time.
