Abstract:

Objective To understand the sanitary status of drinking water quality for residents in a district of Chengdu from 2015 to 2023,and analyze the factors affecting the quality of drinking water in this district. Methods Domestic drinking water samples from urban and rural areas were collected in different periods for laboratory testing, and the risk factors influencing the water sample qualification rate were analyzed. Results The qualified rate of domestic drinking water in the district increased year by year from 2015 to 2023,from 72.83% in 2015 to 100.00% in 2023(P<0.05). The pass rate of water samples in dry season was higher than that of wet season(χ2=8.003,P<0.05),and that of river water was higher than that of lake water, reservoir water, shallow well water and deep well water(all P<0.05).The pass rate of urban water was higher than that of rural water(χ2=31.166,P<0.05),and that of water samples disinfected with sodium hypochlorite was the highest(P<0.05). The pass rate of water samples treated by conventional treatment was higher than that of machine water and manual water intake(both P<0.05). Machine water intake(OR=187.662,95%CI:24.721-1 424.589) was the biggest risk factor for unqualified water samples, and the water source type of river water(OR=0.031,95%CI:0.009-0.103) was the biggest protective factor for unqualified water samples. Conclusion From 2015 to 2023,the quality of drinking water in this area has been continuously improved, but it is still necessary to continuously strengthen the monitoring of rural water quality during the dry season, and the indicators of disinfectants and disinfection by-products should be paid more attention to.
